How To Make Halloween Owl Cookies….

Halloween-Owls

These Halloween Owl cookies are the cutest, scariest owls you ever wanted to see. They were the easiest to create and they took no time. Halloween shouldn’t have snacks that are too complicated. These snacks should be easy, fun, and kid-friendly ghouls. Halloween has always been that time of year where I get the greatest laughs with my boys. Hopefully next Halloween. we can create more spooky ghouls to eat and be brave.

Halloween Owl Cookies Are Easy To Create….

Now you guys know that these are some really cute owls, they look like owls right? I think they serve Halloween all kinds of justice. These are easy to create, and they make for the cutest little snack too. Now my 14 year old thought these guys were the cutest ever, and couldn’t wait to take a bite out of one of them. They don’t need any special magic to create, grab that store bought cookie dough, and let’s gooooo!!!

Store Bought Cookie Dough Works….

It’s ok to cut corners for this, and still win in your kids eyes. There are a million things going on for Halloween, and you don’t need to spread yourself thin with “ALL THE THINGS”!! Taking a short cut says you are definitely winning at life. Thank goodness for all the short cuts we can grab hold too. Here I took some simple sugar cookie dough, and let it get room temperature.

Be mindful when you let it get room temperature, it’s can spread too much. I like to slice my cookie dough when it is still a little firm, and place back in the freezer for about 20 minutes to firm back up.

Halloween Treats Are A Favorite Here…

In my past Halloween’s here is my very favorite candy filled charcuterie board here. Or catch my new guys the Best Halloween Mummy Truffles. I know for the future there will be a ton more halloween posts coming to the blog, and cute ones too. I was pretty proud of these little owls.

These cookies are yielding an easy sugar cookie, with even store bought milk chocolate for the icing. I did add a dabble of cinnamon, and clear vanilla extract to the frosting to jack up the taste a lot. My sons are getting a lot older, and don’t always want to cook with me, but they do a great job taste testing.

Halloween cookies have no rules, and let’s not get caught up with perfectionism! Kids don’t see perfection, all they see is fun, kid related, goodies. This cookies has the coolest eyes, and the best eyebrows.

Simple Materials For An Easy Halloween…..

Remember these are all really easy store bought ingredients, and they are fun to use for any child creative.

Your kiddos could definitely help out with these Halloween Owls. This recipes level of difficulty is so easy, better than easy. Once your cookies are cooked in the oven, take them out to cool and harden a little bit. Once they have hardened get your chocolate frosting to ice the cookies, don’t put too much icing on the cookies, or they won’t hold the other ingredients well. The icing will also smother out the other decorations, or ooze all over them.

Simple Things Bring The Greatest Joy…

Remember guys every recipe doesn’t have to bring about stress, and too many steps. This is also a time to enjoy the moments of your kids, family, and loved ones. Cooking shouldn’t bring about any stress, or unwanted feelings. I love cooking, baking, and loving on my family.

Cooking is definitely one of my love languages, and it does bring me joy. My mom and grandmother brought so much peace to the kitchen, and pure joy! I miss the time I had with my girs, they brough tradition, love, and family into a dish, pot, or yummy cake. I promise to continue to those same traditions forward with my kids. Here is one of my favorite Halloween recipes here. How cute is this!!!
